Fullstack Job: Fullstack Software Engineer - IRIS ISR

Product and Engineering: Rebellion's Product and Engineering teams work in close partnership to identify and understand our customers pain points and needs and then to build products that solve their areas of concern. Leveraging artificial intelligence and machine learning, Rebellion’s products provide clearer visibility and more in-depth understanding of the threat landscape in order to support successful mission execution. How you’ll make a difference in this role:

We are looking to add a Fullstack Software Engineer to our IRIS team. The role is remote, with the potential for limited travel to our HQ in Washington DC and/or the Seattle office.

As a Fullstack Software Engineer you will help to create or customize models and develop them into production systems that scale. You will be instrumental in the growth of Rebellion by architecting efficient and reusable systems that drive complex web applications.

This role reports to the Director of Engineering

What your mission is:

• Directly contribute in building a distributed system with large scaling requirements, e.g. low latency, millions of users, handles PB of data, etc.
• Utilize backend frameworks for API building, deployment experience (terraform, AWS), databases (Postgres, postgis, SQLite).
• Leverage any past experience on the Frontend systems with React, Next.js, Express.js, or equivalent.
• Collaborate with Design, Product, and other Software Engineers to deliver compelling user-facing products.
• Work closely with our customers to iterate quickly on the user experiences that we build.
  

You may be fit for this role if you:

• Have a strong technical background, including 5+ years of experience building impactful products or systems
• Have hands-on experience with Python and/or Golang (or similar experience with C, C++, Java, etc)
• Are willing to debug problems across the stack, such as networking issues, performance problems, or memory leaks
• Have built the wrong system enough times to avoid the common pitfalls, whether building something personally or advising others
• Are comfortable working on under-specified problems and are capable of rapidly learning and iterating on solutions
• Are self-motivated and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Have strong interpersonal skills and are comfortable sharing your expertise with others

The Nature of our Work:

We are driving fast change to an extremely regulated industry. Many of the national security programs that are supported by Rebellion’s products operate in secure environments and access to those spaces and the data in them may require an active personnel security clearance. It is a requirement of this position that you are able to obtain and hold a personnel security clearance at the right level. Additionally, this position may require up to 25% travel.

The annual salary range for this role as it is posted is $145,000 to $220,000 regardless of final candidate location within the US. The final job level and annual salary will be determined based on the education, qualification, knowledge, skills, ability, and experience of the final candidate(s), and calibrated against relevant market data and internal team equity.
